PDF compressor & scanner

PDF Squeeze

Shrink a PDF to fit the upload limit, and turn paper into a clean PDF — on your phone. Portals cap uploads at a few MB, and a phone scan of a salary slip is rarely under it. PDF Squeeze gets the file under the limit without making the text unreadable.

Where it helps

The box that says “Maximum 2 MB”

Loan portals, scheme portals and KYC uploads all cap the file size. Smart mode recompresses only the pictures inside the PDF, so typed text stays sharp, selectable and searchable.

The statement that was scanned as photos

A twenty-page bundle scanned on a phone is mostly image. Image mode redraws every page as a lighter picture — the biggest saving there is, at the cost of selectable text.

Paper that has to become a PDF

The scanner finds the edges of the page, straightens it and cleans the background. Black-and-white pages are saved in a format built for text, so a full page comes out in tens of kilobytes rather than hundreds.

What it does

  • Two engines: Smart (keeps text, shrinks images) and Image (maximum squeeze for scans)
  • Four levels, Low to Extreme, plus a grayscale option
  • Never hands back a file bigger than the one you gave it
  • Document scanner with edge finding and perspective correction
  • Open a PDF from any app with “Open with”, then save or share the result

What it does with your data

  • Your PDFs and scans are processed on the phone. No document, file name or page content is ever uploaded.
  • The camera is asked for only when you open the scanner. Declining leaves the rest of the app working.
  • The app records anonymous counts of which features are used. It carries no identity and no advertising ID, and it can be switched off in Settings.
  • No account, no sign-in, no advertising.

Good to know

Image mode trades selectable text for size, so use Smart first and keep Image for scans. A PDF that is already tightly compressed may not shrink much, but the app will never hand you back a bigger file.
