How we check what we publish.
Money writing is only useful if it is right. These are the rules every guide, calculator and news brief on MoneyClarityTech is held to before it goes live, and after.
Who writes it
Guides are written by a working retail-credit professional in Indian banking, who reads home loan files, credit reports, bank statements and sanction letters every working day. The site publishes under its brand name rather than a personal byline, as professional-conduct norms in banking expect. Views are personal and never represent any employer. More on the About page.
Where facts come from
- The primary document first. RBI directions and circulars, Gazette notifications, the Income-tax Act and CBDT notifications, and the official guidelines and portals of each government scheme. A news report or another website is used only to find the document, never as the final word.
- Tax section numbers are checked against government text. The Income-tax Act, 2025 renumbered every section from 1 April 2026, and many websites still carry wrong numbers.
- Proposed, announced and in force are kept apart. A draft or a budget speech is not a rule yet, and we say which stage a change is at, with its effective date.
Numbers and examples
- Worked examples are illustrations, labelled as such, and the arithmetic is re-run before publishing.
- Calculators show the assumptions they use. They give estimates; your lender's or adviser's figures decide.
- Examples drawn from real loan files are patterns across many cases, with every identifying detail removed.
What we never do
- Recommend an investment, a fund or a stock. We are not SEBI-registered advisers; see the disclaimer.
- Name or rank individual banks or lenders, or publish paid or sponsored articles.
- Repeat rumours. Words like "reportedly" or "sources said" do not appear in our news.
Advertising
Articles may show advertising served by Google AdSense. Ads are placed automatically; advertisers have no say in what we write, and nothing on the site is written to sell a product. The calculators and tools carry no ads.
News briefs
Each news brief summarises one story in our own words and links its source, so you can read the original. Every figure in a brief appears on the page it links to. Briefs cover news from the day they are published, not older stories.
Updates and corrections
Rules change often in India, so guides are revised when the underlying rule changes. When a guide has been revised, its top line shows the date it was last updated.
