Ganitva — Privacy Policy

Last updated 11 October 2026

Ganitva has no account, no advertising, and no way to identify you. It never sends anything you type. It reads two published rate files, and it records anonymous counts of which screens are opened so that the app can be improved. Both are described in full below.

What touches the internet

The app requests one permission: INTERNET. It is used for three things, and nothing else. None of them sends a figure you have typed, and none of them can identify you.

Currency rates. When you open the currency converter, and no more than once every six hours, the app reads a published rate file. That file is a plain page on our own address, rates.moneyclaritytech.com, produced from rates supplied by Metals.Dev, with ExchangeRate-API as a fallback source. The app sends nothing but the request itself.

Metal rates. The gold, silver and platinum screen reads a second published file from the same address, carrying the IBJA benchmark rates. If you add the gold rate widget to your home screen, the widget reads the same file to stay current, no more often than the screen would. It behaves the same way: a plain read, nothing sent.

Anonymous usage counts. The app records which screens are opened and how long a session lasts, using Google Analytics for Firebase. This can be switched off, and is described in its own section below.

You can switch the rate fetching off. Open Settings in the app and turn off Fetch today's rates. With it off, the app fetches no rates at all and falls back to the reference rates compiled into the version you have installed.

Every calculator in the app performs arithmetic on figures you type, needs nothing from anywhere, and works with the phone in flight mode. The rate files only supply a starting number you are free to overwrite.

As with any internet request, a service that answers one can see the IP address it came from. That is unavoidable for any app that fetches anything at all.

The app requests no other permissions. Not contacts, not location, not storage, not the phone state, not the camera.

Anonymous usage counts

The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to record how it is used. What is recorded is limited to which screens are opened, which calculator is chosen, and how long a session lasts. It exists to answer questions like which calculators are worth improving and which are never opened.

What is never recorded: any figure you type, any result the app produces, anything you save, your name, your email address, your phone number, or your contacts. There is no account to attach anything to, because the app has none.

Firebase does assign a randomly generated identifier to the installation, and derives an approximate region from the IP address of the request. That identifier is not your advertising ID, is not shared with advertisers, and is destroyed when you uninstall the app. The app does not use it to build a profile, and there is nothing in it that could be traced back to a person.

This data is processed by Google on our behalf under Firebase's privacy terms. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it for advertising of any kind. The app carries no advertising.

You can switch this off. Open Settings in the app and turn off Count which screens are opened. With it off, the app records nothing and sends nothing: collection stops at the Firebase library itself, not merely at the point the app would have reported something, so a screen opened afterwards leaves no trace anywhere. Uninstalling also stops it completely and removes the identifier with it.

What stays on your device

The figures you type into each calculator are kept in the app's own private storage area on your phone, so a calculator opens as you left it. Saved calculations go to the same place. That area is readable only by this app, and Clear typed figures in Settings empties the figures at any time.

None of this is sent anywhere. Uninstalling the app removes all of it. There is no copy held elsewhere, because no copy was ever made.

Sharing and exporting

The app can pass a summary of a calculation, a picture of a result, or a schedule as a CSV file, to Android's standard share sheet. Copying a figure puts it on your phone's clipboard and nowhere else. Nothing is transmitted by the app itself: you choose the destination, and whichever app you pick handles it from there under its own privacy policy.

Links to our website and to the Play listing are handed to your browser or to the Play Store app in the same way, using a standard Android intent. The app never fetches a page itself.

Children

The app is a general-purpose calculator, suitable for any age and rated accordingly on Google Play. It is not directed at children, and it collects no personal information from anyone of any age. The usage counts described above are anonymous, carry no identity, and are not used to build a profile or to target advertising, of which the app has none.

What this app is not

Ganitva is a calculator. It performs arithmetic on figures you enter. It does not offer credit, arrange or facilitate a loan, introduce you to a lender, sell any financial product, or provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Results are estimates for your own information. Figures quoted by an actual provider will govern any real transaction.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date above, and any new collection will be described here before the release that introduces it, not after.

Version 1.20.0 added the anonymous usage counts and the metal rate file described above. Version 1.20.1 added a setting to switch the usage counts off. Earlier versions read only the currency rates. Version 1.22.1 keeps typed figures on the phone between visits and adds the gold rate widget, which reads the same metal rate file; it adds no new collection and no new permission.
